In 1959, Mr. Rasul Al-Jishi, the 1 st Pharmacist in Bahrain and one of the first in the Gulf region, founded Al-Jishi Pharmacy in Manama old Souk.

By 1963, the Pharmacy diversified its activities by providing medical equipment to patients and the health care sector in Bahrain .

Al-Jishi Pharmacy became the agent and sole distributor of a diverse number of multinational pharmaceuticals and medical equipment companies. As a result, the Pharmacy started offering turnkey solutions to the healthcare sector, and in return achieved a very fast growth rate. Our main Customers include, Ministry of Health, Bahrain Defense Force Hospitals, Private Hospitals and Clinics, and Universities.

By early 1980s, Al-Jishi Pharmacy was changed to Al-Jishi Corporation, to facilitate the growth rate the company has observed over the years.

In addition to Al-Jishi Pharmacy, the company opened three other pharmacy outlets to better reach our Customers: Al-Farabi Pharmacy, Seef Pharmacy, and Al-Hayat Pharmacy.

Since the beginning Al-Jishi Pharmacy has participated in many major health projects undertaken in Bahrain . However, our target still remains the same – to provide the best quality products in the best competitive prices.

The company now has three main Divisions - Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipment, and Consumer Products – employing a total of approximately 100team members. All three divisions deal with importing, marketing, selling and distribution of their respective suppliers and products that Al-Jishi Corporation represents in Bahrain.
